Benefits
Geothermal
systems are usually more comfortable to live with because they
eliminate the large temperature swings of conventional air systems.
They cost significantly less money to operate and maintain. They
eliminate the need for those ugly and noisy external blowing
units as well as those unsightly HVAC pipes you often see running
down the outside of buildings. Geothermal systems also do not
remove needed humidity in the winter months. Although geothermal
sounds too good to be true it is not for everyone. Usually this
is due to your having needs beyond what geothermal is appropriate
for or the price for putting a system in place.
What
do I need to use geothermal?
You need a geothermal system. It's a heating and cooling unit that compares
to regular HVAC systems. However, instead of burning fossil fuels it quietly
transfers excess heat or cold from your building into the Earth. All of the
actual heating and cooling is done by the Earth so geothermal systems cost
very little money to operate.
What
does a geothermal system cost?
This question is not as simple as it sounds. A typical geothermal system usually
costs more to install than a standard air heating and cooling system. But,
since it is so much less expensive to operate than a standard system as well
as offering a comfort level and many more benefits than a standard system,
it is often a difficult comparison to make. However, to realistically set your
expectations you should plan on outlaying more money up-front but getting an
all around better return on your money than any commercially available alternatives.

clean, and cost-effective space conditioning system available.") |
